This is a 10 minute film highlighting the beauty of Cornwall's iconic Fowey river and the ancient legend of Saint Neot's 'miracle of the three fish' which took place there. It traces the path of migrating salmon, through nature's four seasons, from the coastal estuary to its source on Bodmin Moor. Once bounteous, these fish are now facing extinction.
To show your appreciation of the film and help restore our rivers and protect this species, please buy the film. If you buy the film not only will you get a second Cornish film, Tidal Reach, for free but the profit from the film is donated to environmental organisations fighting this extinction (see below).
"Seasons of Migration" also highlights St Neot's miracle which revealed an ancient, but forgotten, truth about nature and extinction. It was first recorded over 1,000 years ago and later memorialised in the stained glass of a local mediaeval church.
The film is enhanced by a sound track with field recordings made along the river banks and flowing piano and double bass improvisations.
The film's profits from sales are paid to the 'not for profit' Atlantic Salmon Trust and to the Fowey Rivers Association to help meet their costs of protecting and enhancing the natural environment of rivers and nurturing migratory fish.
